I've been saying this all along about him...

DJT is a master when it comes to trolling people. Invariably, he'll piss off one segment of society or another on any given day - he does it on purpose. He's a master jokester the likes of which is rarely seen in politics, because he, maybe more so than anyone else who's been in that office, believes that most politicians are just full of shit. I think he likens himself to be a Reagan-esque leader with a few tricks up his sleeve, but in the end, a President who truly does love the country. Want to really understand why he does what he does? Pay little attention to what he says he going to do, and just watch what he does do. Got it?

That is dead-on about the snowbirds migrating back up north. Went to our local hangout last night - bearing in mind it was Friday Night - and only had to wait 20 minutes to get two seats at the bar. When the friggin' snowies are here it's virtually impossible to ever get their fat asses off of our bar stools.
It's the same shit with almost every one of  them. They come back every year and they think they're 'regulars' at their chosen gin joints. Yer a snowbird? You're a fuckin' tourist. Get over yourselves. Juss' sayin'...

In Ocean County, NJ, the Pine Barrens blaze - sparked by a little fat jerkoff teenager - was finally around 60% contained as of Friday, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. Since Tuesday, it has torched 15,300 acres, which is about 24 square miles, roughly the size of Newark. Drought conditions, combined with high temperarues and steady winds have exacerbated the problem.
I find it fascinating that there has been almost no national coverage of this situation, but when the Malibu/LA fires were burning down movie stars' houses, it was 24/7 everywhere. Juss'  shows to go ya - nobody gives a fuck about the Garden State.

My front lawn is brown, no matter how many times I run the sprinklers. 'Extreme Drought' has now developed across this part of Central Florida for the first time in nearly 8 years. Spring of 2017 was the last time our area was this dry. It's worst where I am in Lake County (The Villages). Severe drought has expanded to include Seminole and Orange Counties. Rain is supposedly on the way in early-May.

Slate Auto is launching a barebones electric truck for just $20,000 as it calls 'for a return to affordability after years of stubborn inflation drove everyday prices up.' Bezos is a lot of things, but the man ain't stupid, so I gotta ask - no fuckin' radio? Dude, please...

    2. Made several trips through Baltimore on Amtrak. It looked like a bombed-out city in Germany in 1945.

  3. A bluetooth speaker (modern boombox) is simple to toss into the Slate truck and have a stereo.

  4. Now make the bare bones “truck” (it’s not a truck…but…okay) with a decent sized petrol six or small 8-cyl and I’m in..but with a radio, gotta have a stereo.

    1. At a price of $20K, I'm betting that battery is pure Chinesium. I wouldn't park it in an attached garage overnight for charging for any amount of money.

    2. I'll take one of the gas powered ones as well. The Toyota Helix is 12K or so, just not available in the US. After market radio (or Bluetooth boom box like someone commented above), and we're all good.

  6. Having lived in the Philadelphia region for almost 40 years, that rating is way too low. We called the city "Filthy-delphia."
