How cool looking is this new Chevy?

'The 2025 Chevrolet Corvair is a modern reimagining of the classic car, featuring a sleek retro design with a powerful electric powertrain, offering a blend of vintage aesthetics and cutting-edge technology, while maintaining the iconic rear-engine layout and delivering a thrilling driving experience with a focus on sustainability' (GM's words, not mine).

I hate to have to admit it, but I'd almost buy when of them when my F-150 shits the bed. I wonder if they'll still be around in another 12-15 years. Ole' Blue's only got 194,000 miles on it.

  1. My 10 year old Tacoma only has about 250K miles on it ... hoping to get another 10 years and 250K miles. Not only hope this is still around, but hope my knees are too.

  3. Why on earth would they name it a "Corvair"? The original Corvair was an utter piece of shit, and Chevy has had more than a few pieces of shit along the way, the Corvair may have been the worst. Nice lookiing, wouldnt consider getting one.

    1. You most likely only "heard" about Corvairs back in the 1960's. I owned a 1966 Corvair "Corsica." It was a great car.

  4. I'm with you I had a Spyder back in the day before Ralph Naders "unsafe at any speed." Anyway I'm waiting on my Avalanche with 350000 miles to give up the ghost then I'll look.

  5. Thanks for posting! I dislike the new routine of using AI voice tech; Pronouncing words wrong like, "ChevroLET" or LED pronounced "Lead". DC in Palatka

  6. The one in the pic doesn't look like the one in the video The red one is cool, the cream one looks like a cross between the aerotrain and a snowplow.

  7. GM had to get rid of the Camaro to bring the Corvair to the market. They could not redesign the Camaro and offer the "big" engine as a 6 cylinder. Dumping the Camaro then offering a sporty 2 door as a Corvair was the only way to market the car. I see a problem with a turbo 4 only getting 30mpg on a lightweight 2 door. My Audi SUV has a 2.0L turbo 4 and it gets 30mpg on the highway.

  9. I owned a 1966 Chevy Corvair "Corsair" that was a seafoam blue ragtop with a four on the floor. What a great car!
