They're all bleeding-heart liberals until it effects themselves directly. Wealthy Pacific Palisades residents are outraged over plans for affordable housing units in the elite neighborhood as they rebuild from the devastating LA fires.
The Palisades fire - one of three infernos that ripped through California in January - burned 23,707 acres, destroyed 6,837 homes and buildings and killed 12 people in the ritzy enclave. Among the destruction were 79 single-family homes valued at more than $10 million each in the Palisades, where the median value was $3.7 million, according to The Los Angeles Times.
It's would be funny if it wasn't so sad how they preach and preach, but god forbid some 'inferior' lives nearby. Buncha fuckin' hypocrites, that's what they are...

Seeing as they should be treated the same as those in NC, TN and Hawaii, how are they going to rebuild with $750?
ReplyDeleteAnd didn't they have insurance for those million dollar homes? It isn't like they didn't have the money for it.
I did work with X-Box call center folks in both Dublin and Manila once, all on Microsoft's dime... Smart, dedicated young folks, mostly, and both the Irish and Pinoy were easy to understand. The Scots, now, not even the Irish could comprehend some of them! As for them Palisades folks, they seem to be like the Martha's Vineyard folks who are all for illegal brown wanderers, until they show up at the local Starbucks! Then it's all "Be well, be fed, be gone!"
ReplyDeleteCan't blame them for objections to "low income housing" as that is simply another name for high crime housing.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't think those Directed Energy Weapons were just about playing on the Climate Change BS did they?
