My new backyard project? Yeah, but I gotta do something about the stools...

I once had a dinghy inserted in to my front yard as a planter. 
It even had a name  - 'Probbly Wobbly II". This would be a cool idea for right behind my lanai, but the stools gotta sit on something other than sand. That's an accident waiting to happen...

    4" x 4" x 1" wood or pvc blocks

    Dunno. I think I would put some floor like down and the cover that with a layer of sand. But that might not work either with out fiddling with it every so often. If you do it, pics, please.
