It might be an age thing with regards to knowing Muslims. I'm about 15 years behind you age wise and know three Muslim families. I don't know any Muslims older about 63. The heads of all three families immigrated into this country.

From what I know of what his family believes versus what I have read in the Quran, yeah, their apostates. They've mixed Islam with various New Age beliefs.

I've been using locking gas caps since the gas shortages of '73.
In 1976 siphoning gasoline was definitely a real problem. Jimmah Catah had totally screwed the pooch, you could only get gas on alternate days for a few hours IF they had any at all. Carter made a tough situation exponentially worse with idiotic policies, and then compounded his blunders by creating the Depts of Ed -50 years of failure- and Energy (even worse).
