ReplyDeleteAh, the VA. used to work there. in X-ray and MRI. we stayed busy just about everyday. but the sheer number of people standing around in the hallways doing what I have no idea is amazing. and then there are the "union" guys/gals, they also stood around and talked to everyone they could, shake hands and did little to nothing else.
ReplyDeletehonest to God. there had to be at least 8 people doing nothing one could see for every ONE person working.
while I was there, they had to ban sites on the web to keep people from spending all day doing nothing.
E-bay was big when I got there. some people spent the whole day shopping the WEB. not doing anything close to work. hell, on second shift MRI, we managed to scan 12-15 patients per shift. the day shift did maybe 4-5 patients.
this caused some problems as we made the day shift look "bad". so they went out of their way to fuck us and they got away with it too. got to love the "union" !
NATO only existed to deter the Soviet Union, so it has no reason to still exist decades after the Soviet Union collapsed. Russia isn't going to invade Germany, France, or England so there is no real need for the deterrent left, and the Euro members have let their armed forced decline to the point of irrelevance.
