The Pirates offer for the Paul Skenes 1/1 Rookie Debut Patch Autograph card has been DECLINED and the card will go to auction.
The offer was:
• Meet and greet with Paul Skenes
• 2 season tickets behind home plate for next 30 years
• Softball game for 30 people at PNC Park
• 2 Paul Skenes autographed jerseys
• Watch Pirates game with Livvy Dunne in her suite
This is a classic example of a seemingly good promotion going completely bust. The kid is eleven years old and lives in Los Angeles, so most of the reward would wasted, or - a best, sold off for a fraction of what the card may fetch at auction. The kid might be smart, but I bet the Mom and Dad are a touch smarter. Good for him...
I don't know how much Season Tix go for, but it sounds valuable.
