The generational shift between us and them comes down to what's important to us, and what's not important to them...
Sitting at the bar at my local hangout last night, I was struck once again by the non-similarities between my generation (born in the '50's, say) and younger pups. There's a shitload of snowbirds in town now, so I didn't recognize most of them, but they did all have that one thing in common - they all had their phones out on the bar, right alongside their drinks and their food, and they, for the most part, weren't talking to each other.
Among the fogies like me? Nary a phone to be seen. Truth is, I'd rather be makin' out with some random old dame then watching other people live their lives via social media, or whatever the fuck they think is so important. Ya folla?

The premier of the Canadian province of Ontario, suggested retaliating against possible tariffs that President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to impose on products from Canada.
During a meeting on Wednesday with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other premiers, Ford predicted that there is a “100%” chance that Trump will make good on his pledge to slap a 25% tariff on all products that are imported from north of the border.
So, aside from maple syrup and some lumber, what else do we have to worry about if this guy does a quid-pro-quo?

New Jersey’s largest utility has asked the feds to halt all air traffic over two of its nuclear power plants — after drones were spotted over the sensitive sites, The Post has learned. Congressman Fred Van Drew (R-NJ) confirmed to The Post that PSE&G filed the request with the Federal Aviation Administration on Friday.
