Never been a big Metallica - or Elton John - fan, but...

This is just too cool for school, as we usta say...

I love it when a band that lives in one genre jumps over to another, and rarely have I seen a more dynamic leap than this one.
I saw Zach Brown Band at MSG twelve or so years ago, and when Zac took a break off stage, his band - pure country if ever there was one, did a version of 'Enter Sandman' that shook the roof off the place. It was spectacular.
That song, by the way, was always played when Mariano Rivera was coming to the mound to put an end to a game or a rally.

Oh, as you can see, I had pretty damn good unobstructed seats. If ya knew what Babs looked like back then, you'd recognize her flash up on the big screen...

  1. Not sure why you're not an Elton John fan but, after listening to this (for just a few seconds) I can understand why you not a Metallica fan. I was never a Metallica fan. I know Funeral for a Friend and that was no Funeral for a Friend. To paraphrase Steve Martin and Bill Murray, "What the hell was that?"

  2. ZBB, none better. My wife and I have seen them three times, incredible musicians, no weak links in that band. His guitar players can tear it up. Met ZB and a couple of the band members once. Great guys. Thanks for posting that!
