Yeah - this'll go to SCOTUS for sure...

The leftie loonies in LaLaLand are getting exactly what they voted for - a buncha jerkoffs bound and determined to destroy their city. Breitbart reported that on this past Tuesday, the Los Angeles City Council voted 13-0 to adopt a “Sanctuary City” ordinance that officially prohibits any city resources or personnel from being used to help federal enforcement of immigration laws.
The ordinance codifies what was an executive order by former LA Mayor Eric Garcetti and the LAPD’s practice, under Special Order 40, for local resources, especially law enforcement agencies, to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
Now, that does not mean federal agencies can’t perform duties in LA. ICE can raid a location, but they can’t ask the LAPD or sheriff’s department to hand over undocumented immigrants jailed for minor offenses, for example. California as a whole adopted “sanctuary state” policies during Trump’s first term, most of which survived court challenges. However, some local communities rebelled, passing ordinances that condemned the state’s policies and affirmed support for enforcing existing immigration law.

  3. In a few months the L A City Council is going to ask President Trump for money to fix all the problems caused by illegals from other states. Boston, Arizona, are you paying attention?

    1. Remember when most states refused to lower the speed limit to 55 mph to save gas early in the Energy "Crisis"?
Remember how fast the states busted their asses to get those new signs up?

    2. That was with a law passed by Congress to withhold the road funds, not an executive order. IIRC, about a decade ago Congress passed a law specifically requiring the President to disburse funds appropriated by Congress. Trump talks first and looks things up later, so there's a bunch of promises that he _cannot_ keep without getting the changes through Congress - and in at least one case, 2/3 of Congress and 3/4 of the states.

  5. Don't want to co-operate? I guess there's no more Federal Funding for you, then.

  6. Cut them off. No federal funding and all federal jobs done away with or relocated. This includes air traffic controllers, air marshals, and TSA.

  7. Yes. SCOTUS-bound. Especially if Trump tries to carry out his threat to cut off Fed funding to any city, county or state that tries to pull that sanctuary city bullshit.
I wonder how much worse El-Lay is going to be in a year...
