Did you know if you use the phrase 'No matter how you slice it', you are actually using an idiom? Yup. Anyway, No matter how you do it...
I don't care if you follow or not.

Ya see, back in the slightly more innocent (only slightly) heydays of great print advertising - - the 1950's through the 60's - we used wickedly simple double-entendres to get messages across. Looking back and then seeing how they promote products these days, I don't see a single ad that compares. Juss' sayin'...

Depending on who you're talking to, getting fucked in the ass and sucking cock on film now makes you an 'embattled actor' and not just a fuckin' slut.

“We are here because we are fighting for a democracy. Fighting for a democracy. And understand the difference here, understand the difference here, moving forward, moving forward, understand the difference here.”
- Another Harris word salad from yesterday

There has been absolutely zero discussion on this subject during this 'campaign'. I love that phrase, by the way. Ever stop to think how many different ways that word is used?

The trick to get the double-entendres through the would be censors is to pretend they don't exist (the entendres, or maybe the censors). Assuming Brad isn't reading this, one of the guys added WTF to our code base at work. Worse, I was left to defend it. Brad told me I had to take it out. I looked him square in the eye and as innocently as I could, asked him why? He glared at me, and we went round and round with me acting like I didn't have a clue with what was wrong with WTF and him refusing to say it. 10 years later it is still in the code base.
ReplyDeleteDiddy should have just agreed to campaign for Harris on his own dime. That would have made the whole thing go away.

Democracy is the problem within the former republic. Mob rule of the last few decades has produced our conundrum.
