Mussel farming in Ireland. I had no idea this is how they do it...


I shot this from the car  when I was over there last mopnth and, no, I wasn't driving - I had shotgun. Their steering wheels are on the right over there. Anyway, this is just shy of a beautiful Portnoo beach on the northwestern coast of Ireland in Donegal county. Ya know they say here - The Brits and other Europeans drive on the right side, we drive on the correct side...

  1. I knew a guy that had a clam farm in WA state. Natural clams already existed on his property but the Indian tribe got to come and harvest a percentage of those every year per treaty. So he installed wooden frames and seeded them to farm clams and the Indians don't get to take any of the "farmed" clams.
