When I saw the heading I knew it had to be the Wheels of Fire, Crossroads. That second solo is one of the finest pieces of rock guitar ever recorded still to this day. But whoever the cameraman was should be shot. I don't want to watch Ginger baker drumming when I could be staring in wonderment at Clapton's fingers.
As always, the actual audio is from a different concert. The music in this does not match the video. Very easy to see. There obviously is no video from the actual audio because this is the video that always shown with this song. Awesome tune, though....

ReplyDeleteBruce and Baker are just burning it up. One of the great rhythm sections of all time.
ReplyDeleteMeh..... Hendrix, Page Stevie Ray and many more are / were far better. EC has so many lame gimmicky BS licks over rated by non musicians.
ReplyDeleteRusty Baker went wild on those drums. Whatever else, my generation had the best sound track.
