It's bad enough I'm old. Is there ANY good news out there for me?

A 12-year United Kingdom study that tracked 135,000 adults 60 and older found that even light drinking was associated with an increase in cancer deaths. This uptick was most pronounced in older adults who live in low-income areas and have health troubles. These findings contradict the previously held belief that small quantities of alcohol, particularly red wine, are good for the heart. This belief is based on shoddy evidence that the vino-avowed French have lower rates of heart disease.
According to some sources, some health problems in people older than age 65, and the medicines used to treat them, can get worse with alcohol's effects. These include diabetes, high blood pressure, and ulcers. Heavy alcohol use can also lead to other health problems, such as cancer and liver disease.
I'll drink to that. Actually, I'll drink to anything...

  1. Bullshit study, from a guy who's a temperance freak. Total nonsense, already debunked.

  2. Yes, the ONLY VARIABLE among these folks was alcohol consumption. LOL. Pure BS. How many vaccines, how much processed food, how much barbecued food, how much GMO food, etc. Questions that would NEVER be ALLOWED to be asked.
