ReplyDeletePerky is best. Which is why we like the sweet young things. And when we get to 60 and beyond, we'll remember it fondly. And realize that unless we are billionaires, it's now out of our reach.
ReplyDeletePerky is fine, but enthusiasm is final. With apologies to Bill Jordan. Ain't no time limits on enthusiasm. Or, to muddle another fine old aphorism, age and enthusiasm beat youth and perkiness every time. "They hardly yell, they seldom smell, they rarely tell, they never swell, and they're grateful as hell". As usual, Arlo speaks profound truth.
