Media is reporting that there is a new study by a major trade group in the state has revealed the horrifying number of jobs lost since the introduction of a new minimum wage. The California Business and Industrial Alliance (CABIA) slammed Governor Gavin Newsom for pushing the law through, which has meant businesses in the state have had to raise prices and lay off workers.
It comes after beloved Mexican chain Rubio's Coastal Grill announced it would shut 48 restaurants in the state because of the 'rising cost of doing business in California.'

ReplyDeleteI lived in San Diego in the 90's. Rubio's has the BEST fish tacos. Fortunately there was a Rubios close to my work that I could walk there for lunch. Evil people run (ruin) California...
ReplyDeleteBut the democrats failed to tell ALL those pushing for the higher wage would loose their jobs & businesses waiting for the robots to arrive to replace human workers after paying huge sums of money for them, the fast food industry went belly up and the boxed robots were returned due to no employees to put them together.
ReplyDeleteMAndated $20 per hour for unskilled work equals 10,000 jobs evaporating. Democracy is wonderful until people refuse to pay for it.
