I wouldn't take one if ya gave it to me for free, but we can discuss that another time. There's a coupla things worth pointing out here. First of all, how pissed off would you be if you just bought one and find out a day later they're selling for ten percent less?
Secondly, there's a basic rule from Economics 101 that says something to the effect that producing more supply that there is demand for your product is a sure-fire way to fuck up your company's balance sheet.
Tesla is now offering big discounts on its Model Y SUV, marking down Model Y prices by $7,500 in some cases. In Q1, the company produced more than 46,000 more cars than it delivered. That equates to roughly $ 230,000,000.00 worth of unsold inventory sitting idle out in the sun.
