Some days, more than most others, starting the day with a 'Song for America' is our only solution...

And sometimes the original version is better -
like this one...

...

That's subtle. I like subtle...

She may be bat-shit crazy, but she does have
a substantial front porch. Juss' sayin'.

If we forget about what we let them do to us just
a short time ago, how will be ever recognize it when
they try to do it to us again, for an even more
nefarious reason the next time?

Public support for same-sex marriage and nondiscrimination protections
for LGBTQ+ Americans has fallen, even as the overall share remains high, according to new findings by the nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute.
There's a simple reason for it the way I think. I never gave that much of a fuck about all that shit in the first place, so having it jammed down my friggin' throat for the last 30 or so years isn't exactly my idea of fun. Just shut the fuck up and go live your life, and don't even think about telling me what I have to (or shouldn't) accept. I'll develop my own belief system, thank you very fuckin' much...

I know that at least one of our regular readers who goes by 'P2' lives in North Pole, Alaska, so maybe it's him this is referring to - although not personally - but I have one simple question. Why  the fuck would anyone ever want to live in a place where shit like this happens every year?
That makes absofuckinlutely no sense at all to me.
Maybe somebody could 'esplane it to me.

  6. The reason that many folks live way up north and deal with the insane, long and frozen winters is that they do not have to deal with a lot of left-wing shit-for-brains snowflakes. Most folks living in Alaska are God-fearing, Bible-thumping, gun-toting red necks. God bless 'em all...

    1. There’s that… Winter can be a bit tedious, but I gotta admit, 7 months of snow, cold & dark keeps tge riffraff out. Then there are those other 5 months. Oh, yeah, the retirement place I bought a few years ago? 40 acres, 1 neighbor a mile or so away, 60 miles north of town…should move there this summer!

    3. Nepotism. Her dad was a senator, got elected governor & installed her to finish his term out. She ran for reelection, got beat in the primary, ran a write in campaign and somehow convinced the election board that anything resembling an M was a vote for her sorry ass. She’s in tight with the money in Anchorage. More than half the state’s population lives in the Anchorage/Mat-Su region; as goes those liberal wankers, so goes the state. Flippin’ North Seattle is what it is….
