But it manifests itself in a weird way -
now I'm afraid of bridges...
I not-so-jokingly commented to Babs that my greatest fear would be one of those big-ass friggin' cruise ships hitting the bridge while we're on the top. And then this happened yesterday:

Kevin Bacon is ready to cut loose at prom. Bacon announced this week to a gym full of students from Utah’s Payson High School, where his iconic movie “Footloose” was filmed, that he will be making an appearance at the school’s final prom. This comes after students launched a campaign to get the actor to attend the event. Payson High School is set to relocate at the end of the school year.

That gap in his own party is just as bad as the one in the Republicants.

As I’ve gotten older going over long spanned bridges kind of freak me out too. Especially if there is. Lot of traffic and I have to sit on the bridge for more than a bit. Thank god I don’t face that anymore. Longest bridge I face regularly is under a mile long
ReplyDeleteThere was a bridge over the Copper River in Charleston, Grace Memorial Bridge, built in the 20s', couldn't drive cars side by side it was so narrow, at least not modern cars. Most people drove in the middle, single file. Steep, bumpy & scarry as hell. When it was built it was two way till they built another bridge.
ReplyDeleteYa'll a yankee. Look up the Sunshine Skyway Bridge collapse in 1980 on Wiki. Scroll down about halfway to the picture that shows a car that stopped "just in time". Just thought you might want to know about it the next time you cross over it.......
