  1. Not any more. That was true, but it got corrected during their big renovation project that went from about 1998-2011. That was when fire sprinklers and emergency lights were installed for the first time. The part of the building that the airplane flew into on 11 Sep 2001 was the first renovated part. Only part-way occupied, and more safety equipment. It helped.

  3. I wonder how many older government buildings are the same. Why would they spend money to tear out bathrooms? Just have extra ones.

  5. Twice as many? That's all?
    They should have one per gender, and it will be a building with nothing but bathrooms, ready to be expanded each time a new gender is 'discovered'.

  6. 70s: We moved into a brand new computer center in Amsterdam. A year later the first woman was hired. Oops, never planned for that.
