Start with a joke, even if it's not funny...

...

It's about friggin' time this administration starts doing shit for people who've actually served this country instead of coddling these little cry-baby philosophy majors who don't want to repay loans they themselves commited to. NPR.org is reporting that the Department of Veterans Affairs is halting foreclosures for 6 months for veterans and servicemembers who have VA Loans. The move follows an investigation by NPR that found thousands of veterans who took what's called a COVID forbearance are now at risk of losing their homes through no fault of their own. "Helping Veterans and their families stay in their homes is a top priority at VA. We are calling on mortgage servicers to pause foreclosures of VA-guaranteed loans through May 31, 2024."
The forbearance program was set up by Congress after the pandemic hit in order to let people who suffered a loss of income skip mortgage payments for six or 12 months, and then have an affordable way to start paying their mortgage again.
It's the same old story - government does stupid shit and forces people into untenable positions, then the government has to step back in to fix what they themselves fucked up.

Never wanting to waste an opportunity to bring you some shitty news,
we have this item, of course. I think it's pretty much the same thing
the've said every year for the last 50 or so...

Things that are supposed to make you think...

Ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs'
Super Bowl 57 rematch game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, local radio station Q102 will ban Taylor Swift's music due to her relationship with boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays tight end for the Chiefs.
"Q102 is punting Taylor Swift from the radio station for the entire weekend because while Q102 loves Taylor Swift, we can't get enough of her, this weekend it's really important we show our support for the Birds," said Q102 host 'Nugget'.
Say what you will, but she's an incredibly talented gal, and I think she's cute as fuck, but hey - wudda I know...

And it's a great idea and all that, but if tried to do shit
like this in any of the big cities here in the States, that
shit'd last about five minutes. Juss' sayin'...

You know, Christmas is only 37 days away.

I wish I could make this shot as big as possible, but there are limits
to everything. I took that pic in Key Largo last month. I just like the
framing after it was cropped.

...

Because, for some reason, we need to be reminded on an
almost daily basis that there are people out there with entirely
too much fuckin' money. Juss' sayin'...
