Why is Waffle House America’s late night fight club?

This is a fascinating - if not a little screwy - report on this strictly American phenomenon...

And it almost always features what I like to call 'The usual suspects'
or a mixed bag of rednecks, crackers and ne'er-do-wells...

If you've never been to a Waffle House at 3:00am, you haven't gotten a complete picture of what it's like in there.
The report is actually from an English perspective - so that makes it that much more interesting.

It's a six-minute video report and you'll find it here:

  1. Kelly Grayson has starting writing urban fantasy set in and around Waffle House and what is actually going on.

  2. Despite the reporters view, I’m pretty sure the problem isn’t capitalism. I think ethanol is more likely the issue.

  3. The temperature may be a factor also. You go into one late at night and freeze as you wait to give your order and wait longer for your food. Great food, just slow service due to the layout and staffing. And too cold.

  4. The Windy Hill Waffle House in NW Atlanta used to be the place the girls from the now defunct Gold Club used to go after their shift. I had USAF GA Guard drill and would have breakfast in the diner. A couple of different altercations happened and I was the savior of the strippers. For about a year they would buy my breakfast. They all squealed in delight when I joined them for breakfast. Life was good.
