I can't think of a comic artist who doesn't do that. "Pardon My Planet" reuses the psychiatrist couch scene, the date's dinner scene, the girl with the thug at the bar scene, etc. "Shoe" reuses the diner scene, the senator's speech scene, etc. And the grandaddy of them all, Peanuts with Lucy and the football, or Snoopy on the doghouse. And so forth.
Hey, if you had to go through all that drawing every day, wouldn't you take shortcuts too?
