It's the new money, honey...
New income migration figures have been released, showing that Florida maintains its number one spot in leading the nation in net income migration, gaining $39.2 billion over the year. This breaks down to $4.48 million per hour in new net income to Florida.
This new figure is an increase of 65.1 percent from the previous year.
The Florida Chamber of Commerce, which released the figures, hailed it as “a promising trend as we work to achieve the Florida 2030 Blueprint mission of making Florida a top 10 global economy by 2030 and ensuring our brand and reputation as the best place to live, work, raise a family, visit, learn, play, relocate, and compete remains top in the nation.”

New Jersey is now the only state in the nation where you cannot pump your own gas. Bare bones statistics prove that self-serve gas saves the average person nine cents a gallon. Gas station attendants in NJ - who are mostly Pakistanis and Indians - are not unionized, so that can't be the reason why NJ won't relent on this issue. There's a famous bumper stocker up there:

The United States destroyed what it says is the last of it's chemical and biological weapens last week. The thing that confuses me about this whole issue is the concept that using chemicals to kill people is somehow less 'jumane' than using napalm or cluster bombs. Ya get my drift on that?

According to latest data from the U.S. Census, Florida ranks #1 in total net migration, which measures the difference between the number of people moving in and the number of people moving out of a state. From July 2021-July 2022, nearly 444,500 people moved to Florida, which compared to the previous year was a gain of 185,000, the largest year-over-year impact of residents moving.
Using those numbers, that's adding the rough equivalent of a city the size of Orlando to the state every year. This level of population growth will quickly become unsustainable, and I'll be forced to move to Ireland and stay in my brother's cottage along the Gweebarra River in Donegal County. Damn...

What does it say about us as a society that we (well, not me, anyway) spend so much time and effort tearing down our legends and defiling our most cherished icons? What good could ever come from doing shit like this? It's a perverse, fucked-up pleasure at it's best and just plain despicable in my eyes.
Jennifer Grant has said that her father, Cary Grant, was “not flirtatious with men”.
The Hollywood icon, known for classic films including North by Northwest (1959) and Charade (1963), faced persistent rumours about his sexuality during later life. Speaking to The Guardian ahead of ITV’s forthcoming drama Archie, a biopic series about Cary’s life, Grant denied that her father had relationships with men.

Sen. Charles Schumer, the loudmouth Pelosi-ass kissing Demorat from N.Y. called on the Food and Drug Administration on Sunday to investigate PRIME because of dangerously high caffeine levels. In a letter, Schumer 'alleges' that unclear marketing targeting young people leads parents to purchase a “cauldron of caffeine" for their kids. Who else but the Chuckster could raft a statement that fuckin' stupid?
“One of the summer’s hottest status symbols for kids is not an outfit, or a toy − it’s a beverage,” Schumer said. “But buyers and parents beware because it’s a serious health concern for the kids it so feverishly targets.”
Thank the lord baby Jesus we have guys like Chuck out there watching out for us. This is important shit, Chucklehead. Jeez.
This is what he's worried about:

ReplyDeleteThe real problem with chemical weapons is that if the other side can duplicate protective technology that is over a century old, all the chemical weapons do is kill civilians and slow down operations. If either side uses chemical weapons, the troops ON BOTH SIDES must wear the miserable, sweaty, and constricting protective gear, and both sides will have to slow way down.
