The usual suspects strike again in the Big Apple...

New York Post - Police are searching for a pair of moped-riding bandits accused of mugging at least three women walking in Manhattan and the Bronx, stealing their cell phones and keys. The NYPD released surveillance photos Thursday, showing two young men riding a blue moped who have been linked to a trio of brazen drive-by muggings that occurred earlier this month.
In some of the images, the wanted men are seen wearing white tank tops and shielding their faces. In one photo, the face of the driver riding shirtless is visible. On July 5, at around 6:45 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was walking near Pleasant Avenue and East 116th Street in East Harlem when two men on a moped rode up to her, and one of them tried to grab her cellphone. Having failed to steal the device, the thief snatched the keys that were in the victim’s hand instead, before speeding away.
Two days later, around 11 a.m. on June 7, a 40-year-old woman was trying to make a phone call in the area of Park Avenue and East 149th Street in the Bronx when cops said she was accosted by a duo on a moped. “One of the individuals displayed a knife and removed the victim’s cellphone from her hand,” police said. “The individuals fled the location.”

Around 3:35 p.m. that same day, a 53-year-old woman was on her phone when she was approached by two men on a moped at Broadway and West 125th Street in Manhattan. One of the perps yanked the phone out of the victim’s hands, and both bandits fled on their scooter, heading westbound on West 125th Street.
None of the women was injured in the robberies.

  1. This is why New Yorkers should be allowed to concealed carry without a permit. Ventilate these worthless scum and their repeat rate goes to zero.
