Many of Google's US employees make six or seven-figure salaries, figures show, but the high earnings were made in a year that ended with 12,000 workers fired. The highest-paid regular earners were software engineers on more than $718k.

ReplyDeleteThe only trouble is, with pay scales like this (and the workaholic hours that probably go with it), many of the best workers will save their pay because they've no time to spend it - so they're rich enough to retire in 10 years. Or to quit and found a rival company.
