But weather records that date back less than 150 years
tell us that this year will be the hottest year ever...
The gospel according to The Media - Global temperatures have accelerated to record-setting levels this month, an ominous sign in the climate crisis ahead of a gathering El Niño that could potentially propel 2023 to become the hottest year ever recorded.
Preliminary global average temperatures taken so far in June are nearly 1C (1.8F) above levels previously recorded for the same month, going back to 1979. While the month is not yet complete and may not set a new June record, climate scientists say it follows a pattern of strengthening global heating that could see this year named the hottest ever recorded, topping 2016.
There has been “remarkable global warmth” so far in June, confirmed Copernicus, the European Union’s Earth observation arm, which said that the first few days of the month even breached a 1.5C increase compared with pre-industrial times.
'This is probably the first time this has happened since industrialization', the agency said.
The long-term warming conditions caused by the burning of fossil fuels will probably receive a further pulse of heat via El Niño, a naturally recurring phenomenon where sections of the Pacific Ocean heat up, typically causing temperatures to spike across the world.
... Way back when (in 1960) when we still had a semblence of a sense of humor about things, this is how the Saturday Evening Post commented on warmer weather. Yeah - 63 years ago we still knew how to laugh at ourselves...

I never heard of a 'Lucid Air' - did you guys?

Former Super Libtard Big Apple Mayor Bill de Blasio was hit with a historic fine Thursday by New York City’s Conflicts of Interest Board for using an NYPD security detail for his ill-fated presidential run in 2019.
After finding that the mayor used taxpayer dollars for political purposes, the board ordered de Blasio to pay $474,794 - a whopping sum that includes compensating the city for police officers’ travel expenses and a $155,000 fine, the largest ever issued by COIB. (From Politico)

I know very little about this Alvin Bragg guy - the District Attorney up in New York City who insists on fucking with the Donald, but the guy must be some kinda raging jerkoff to indict the guy - an ex-marine - who saved a bunch of people from a crazy fuckwad on the subway. Juss' sayin'...

that I'll never put myself through that ordeal again, but the one I did go on sailed out of Vancouver, BC and we went up to here - the Hubbard Glacier in Glacier Bay, Alaska. That was a pretty cool trip, I have to admit it.

I was delivering a boat from Annapolis to Norfolk in the winter, we pulled into a marina in MD. The local seafood place had Natty Bo's for a buck apiece. The crew drank them out of beer! National Bohemian is a pretty good brew, I'd drink it again if they were sold in Florida.
ReplyDeleteWarmest? Uh huh...bunch of Chicken Little Liars trying to prop up their anthropogenic Warming/Climate Change Bravo Sierra in order to tax us into oblivion..or is that "submission". The Rocky Mountains has seen heavy rain and much cooler Spring temps for 5 weeks (we never complain about rain out here - pastures look great), same weather we had back in '97 when Summer didn't show up until mid-July. Had a 73 year-old tree die, took it down to fill the firewood rack...roughly every 5 years it was wet-then dry-then wet. Idiot PhD's with "grants" need to "study"...so they make the outcome fit their tone-deaf bubble mentality.
ReplyDeleteThe article says that 2023 "could...become the hottest year ever recorded", not that it "will be the hottest year ever" in 4.5 billion years. This is not gospel; it's "weather records that date back" 142 years. The graph shows that something changed about 1980.
ReplyDeleteThe media is manipulating us, it was way warmer in the Medieval Warming Period and even warmer before that in the Roman Warming period.
ReplyDeleteHell it was warmer all the time before the Little Ice Age started about 1200 and FWIW we have not recovered since the LIA ended.
For another look at the actual temps and the recording of them here is a 4 min video

I have never heard of Lucid Air either. Funny how the Lightening and Mustang EV didn't make the list. I can understand city dwellers that makes short trips but the technology for power storage is not where it needs to be. I also do not understand why the hood, roof, and trunk are not made out of solar panel cells as tyhat would give 500 to 700 watts of recharge power .
