WARSAW, Poland (AP) — The United States ambassador held a 

U.S. flag high as he marched in the yearly Pride parade in Warsaw on Saturday, a clear message of Washington’s opposition to discrimination in a country where LGBTQ+ people are facing an uphill struggle.

“America embraces equality,” Ambassador Mark Brzezinski said, as he marched with more than 30 other members of the U.S. Embassy and alongside representatives from Canada, Austria and other Western countries in the Equality Parade.

In recent years Western governments have been alarmed as the conservative government in Warsaw depicted gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people as threats to the nation and its children.

The Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's largest Protestant denomination, has moved dramatically to bar women from holding leadership roles in its churches.

The organization voted overwhelmingly yesterday to finalize the expulsion of two churches for having female pastors. That's Saddleback Church in Southern California and Fern Creek Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky.

Before the vote, Rick Warren, the retired founding pastor of Saddleback, one of the biggest and most prominent churches in the country, tried making a case for unity to those attending the annual meeting in New Orleans by focusing on the faith's message.

Back in April, after a deluge of criticism over the city and state’s absolute inability and unwillingness to respond to the local fentanyl and homelessness crises, Gavin Newsom finally announced that the CHP, the state national guard and the attorney general’s office would jump in and aid San Francisco’s absolutely feeble and feckless law enforcement to “focus on targeting fentanyl trafficking, disrupting the supply of the deadly drug in the city, and holding the operators of drug trafficking rings accountable.”

One thing I gotta say about this Fentanyl shit - it must be some kinda motherfucker of a good buzz. Maybe 50 years ago I mighta thought about trying it, but nowadays? Hell, no...

I posted this gif yesterday but it was still in my computer this morning and it got me thinking about how innocent and silly and harmless this show really was. The idea of high-concept humor wasn't even invented then, but this show certainly strove for it. Think about the fact that it was only supposed to be a three-hour tour, yet somehow they had all these clothes and shit with them. Also, d'ja ever wonder how the batteries in their portable radio lasted as long as they did?
