A proposed Oregon bill would provide the deep blue state’s homeless population $1,000 per month that recipients could use at their own discretion. The bill, introduced last month, would establish a People’s Housing Assistance Fund Demonstration Program to give 12 monthly thousand-dollar payments to those suffering from homelessness or who are on the brink of becoming homeless.
“Payments may be used for rent, emergency expenses, food, child care or other goods or services of the participant’s choosing,” the bill states. People who spend more than 50 percent of their monthly household income on rent, and those who earn 60% or less of the area median income would also be eligible for the funding.
Conflicting views on crime and social policies are creating a bigger divide between big cities and rural America, sparking efforts to secede. Among the largest pushes across the country, counties in Eastern Oregon are looking to be annexed to Idaho as a part of the Greater Idaho movement.
Oregon state Sen. Dennis Linthicum (R-Klamath Falls) introduced the Greater Idaho bill in January in hopes that the eastern portion of the state could be annexed to Idaho. The bill requested “discussion between Oregon and Idaho governments regarding relocation of Oregon and Idaho border.”
Moment of truth here - given the chance, I would
rip off the arms of the lead singer and then beat
the rest of these morons to death with them.
Juss' sayin', I may hate this song more than any
other song ever in the history of the world, and
that means even more than Cumbaya...
if its any consolation, most of of the band are gay so their wont be any children to carry on the idiocy.
ReplyDeleteI did like the B-52s back in the day, even went to a couple of concerts, must have been the drugs & alcohol.
ReplyDeleteI can live with giving $1000 per month to the riff raff of the state.
ReplyDeleteHowever, for each $1000 they will give up their voting rights for 10 years.
After they blow $1,000 on drugs and booze a few times, they'll be dead and the drain on the treasury will end.
DeleteBut they'll vote Democrat forever, oh no!
There are times I'm glad I'm going deaf - I neither hear clearly nor understand the words - just as well!
