How can I get a bullshit job like his?

New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams (what kinda Scrabble game bullshit name is that, anyway?) has joined climate advocates in pushing to change the name of the Mets’ Citi Field, claiming its namesake Citibank invests too heavily in the fossil-fuel industry.
The bank, which Williams’ office said is the second-largest fossil-fuel financier in the US, has shelled out big bucks to land the naming rights to the ballfield in Queens starting around 2009.
Williams, other Mets fans and a variety of climate activists are set to hold a press conference Tuesday at noon in City Hall Park to protest what they call the team’s “toxic contract” with the bank — a 20-year deal estimated to cost Citbank about $400 million, or $20 million annually.

The opponents say they plan to launch a petition demanding team owner Steve Cohen end the relationship. And you wonder why the country is as fucked up as it is - this is the shit people worry about...

  1. The BS these people come up with to try and justify their paychecks and cushy titles. Fire 'em all!

  2. Petroleum, don't like don't use; but unless you live as a hermit (cave, woods) and without any modernity (knives, clothes, shoes, etc), all you have is from or arrived by petroleum.
I recall watching floating oil rig protesters; idiots paddling plastic kayaks with plastic paddles, while wearing neoprene, using digital cellphones and cameras, transported by modern paved road in a plastic vehicle with a plastic case battery mined of the earth.
    Idiots.
