Who's upset about what now? Give it up ferfucksake...

It's kinda hard to believe we haven't gotten to blue skies and world peace yet after changing the names of the Pancake mix, the rice and the baseball team, right?
The Kansas City Chiefs are the reason Rhonda LeValdo is in Arizona for the Super Bowl. But she won’t be here to watch the game. LeValdo and other Native Americans will be pushing again for the Chiefs to abandon the team’s name, mascot and fan-driven “tomahawk chop.” It’s the same goal they had in 2021 when the Chiefs were vying for a second-consecutive Super Bowl win in Tampa, Florida.
LeValdo will be joined by others from Kansas City and tribes in Arizona to demonstrate outside State Farm Stadium in Glendale. The president of the Kansas City franchise says he respects their right to protest.
Fights against the appropriation of tribal cultures and images have endured for decades - not just with the Chiefs. Native Americans say using iconography and words with Native connotations demeans them and perpetuates racist stereotypes.

Okay, so maybe I am a bit of a dolt, but how the fuck is this cartoon character racist in any way?

  1. Don't forget the land o Lakes squaw. Why don't we just erase native Americans from all our history? Y'know, like out Founding Fathers and hero's of battle.

  3. It's a shame we can't send these people back in time a few centuries. I suspect she would be raped and killed by some opposing tribe in short order. And in as painful way as they could. She'd have been lucky to just get a tomahawk chop or two.

  4. The Chiefs. Back in the early 60's, Lamar Hunt and other investors wanted to bring professional football to Kansas City, Missouri. The mayor at that time was H. Roe Bartle. His nickname was 'The Chief.' Bartle, and other city leaders, were instrumental in creating a climate of booster-ism to support having a profession team play in the old municipal stadium. As a token of appreciation, Hunt named the new Kansas City team, The Chiefs.

All this other American Indian hoop-la came later (like a mascot horse named 'war paint' - now out to pasture, etc.). No one cares about any of it except the perpetually butthurt cry bullies.

  5. I had a great-grandmother who was a Colorado Ute. I would like to see all sports teams named after native American tribes.
