House and Senate Republicans are vowing to scrutinize infections disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci despite his announcement he plans to step down from his government post this year. House Oversight member Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) called Fauci a 'coward' and suggested the 81 year old was retiring to avoid GOP scrutiny should they take over the House. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) also vowed a 'a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic' where Fauci would testify.
