If I had a kid...

Somebody did a great job of raising this kid. Not only did he brush himself off and go on with his game, when he saw the pitcher was upset about hitting him, he did something almost unimaginable in today's world.
With a spot in the Little League World Series on the line Tuesday in the Southwest Region championship game, Kaiden Shelton of Pearland, Texas threw a pitch that hit Isaiah Jarvis of Tulsa, Okla., on the ear flap of his helmet. Jarvis hit the ground in a heap, clutching his head.
After Jarvis dusted himself off and trotted to first base, seemingly OK, he realized that Shelton was upset. On a whim, Jarvis called for time and made a beeline toward the mound, giving Shelton a hug and offering words of encouragement:
“Hey, you’re doing just great,” Jarvis told Shelton before leaving the mound. Jarvis’ visit spurred the rest of Pearland’s infield to descend on the mound, consoling Shelton as well.

See for yourself if you haven't seen it:

  2. Here in Kansas City the batsman's mother would have charged the mound and shot the pitcher. Twice.
