Be aware -or better yet beware - of the younger voters...

Forty-eight percent of young Democrat voters said in a May Monmouth University poll that they were basing their vote on candidates' positions on abortion rights...

The biggest problem that all candidates will have to address in November is that these young voters are primarily 'single issue voters', meaning they will decide for or against any candidate based one one single item, like abortion or whether or not they like what you tweet.
For decades, the contentious issue of abortion rights has motivated American voters from both parties. The U.S. Supreme Court's decision last week to overturn the 1973 decision guaranteeing women a constitutional right to abortion could have a defining impact on upcoming congressional midterm elections, when Democrats attempt to hold on to their narrow edge in the U.S. House and Senate.
Midterm elections traditionally do not drive young voter turnout in the same numbers as presidential elections. But recent polling suggests the overturn of the nearly 50-year-old law could motivate young voters to get more involved.
A May poll from American news network CBS found that 40% of younger (under 30) voters said they would be more likely to vote - and vote Democrat -  if Roe v. Wade was overturned.
It's vitally important that all candidates - in all parties and in all elections -  remember these young voters, and the effect they can have on any election. They were pivotal in Biden's victory, and if they're not totally disillusioned, can upset the apple cart going forward.
Let's hope that - just this one time - he's correct.

We need this here in the States. REALLY good beer made by Guinness...

My guess is that nobody likes Syrians.
Because we sure as shit don't hear very much about what's going on over there, where they've been at war for ten years now.
Basically, the entire country's been blown to to shit, and nobody here in the States really kinda gives a fuck. The United Nations said the first 10 years of Syria's conflict, which began in 2011, has killed more than 300,000 civilians.

When is enough 'enough'?

One is definitely not enough but what number is too many? I haven't found out yet, but my wife told me last night that we have enough. After dinner I went outside and counted them all. Their's only nine of them scattered around the front and back yards. How could nine (different sizes and shapes by the way) pink flamingos possibly be 'enough'? Everybody defines different words in different ways, right? I mean, when I've had five or six beers before dinner and my wife tells me 'I've had enough', how the fuck does she know what enough is? And is it her enough or my enough she's talking about? Either way, a couple more of these pink plastic babies ain't gonna hurt nobody...

If you ask me (and nobody has yet) the New York State gun
law ruling was considerably more important and more
impactful than the Roe v. Wade thing. Juss' sayin'...

This is crazy on a bunch of levels. This is that Russian missile that hit the shopping mall the other day. I couldn't find out if this was from a stationary security camera of some kind or not, but if it isn't how did this person or persons know where and when to be filming at that exact moment? Also if you look at it again, you can actually see the missile itself just before impact.

I've become an admirer of old, classic B&W photography.

It speaks to me somehow on a different level.
Like this one for instance:
Here we see an Italian soldier saying a tearful
farewell to his Austrian lover as he takes a train
to the front in 1943.

President Trump, 'well aware his supporters were heavily armed on Jan. 6', was so determined to join them at the Capitol that 'he lunged at the head of his security detail after his driver refused to transport him there', according to a piece of shit former White House aide testifying before Congress on Tuesday.

Will there be a 'Monkeypox Czar'? That's just one of many decisions ole' Joe's gonna have to make (or have someone make for him) as this new stupidity gains steam and traction in the media.
The Biden administration rolled out a strategy yesterday to expand vaccination against the monkeypox virus to a greater number of at-risk individuals, as cases of the rare disease continue to climb and outbreaks in major cities across the country worsen.
City public health departments reported that demand for the vaccine is still outstripping supply, raising concerns that the administration will struggle to keep up, just as it struggled to keep up with demand on almost everything it did with covid. Did you get you free home test kit yet? (asking for a friend).

I'm thinking this was either before radios were standard issue in all cars,
or some kind of 'upgrade' kit. Any ideas from you guys?

Saw it once. That was enough for me.

  1. You don't hear about Syria because it is Obama's war and Obama's fault. Same with Libya.

Frankly, given what Syria did to Lebanon, I'm content to watch Syria die a slow, agonizing death.

  2. I'm a single-issue voter myself and that issue is the Second Amendment. Seeing what the RINOs have done to gun owners in the last week has started me wondering if standing in line to vote is a waste of time.

  3. It was the Israelis who invaded Lebanon and instigated the refugee camp massacre. Does Israel deserve a slow agonizing death?

And then there is the USS Liberty incident.

    1. Go back to the 50s when Lebanon was a peaceful, Christian country. It was the pearl of the mid east. Syria did what the Hispanics invading our southern border are doing and then started a shooting war. Syrian Muslims that took over Lebanon started using it as the base of operations against Isreal.

So, no. Syria made Lebanon a Muslim cesspit. If it weren't for Syria, Isreal and Lebanon would have been fast friends. I will be quite content watching Syria die a painful death. Syria invaded Lebanon to be mischievous bastards and then used Lebanon as a base of operations against Isreal. Isreal attacked the Syrian Muslims in Lebanon as a self defense.

  4. People with tinted windows ... so long as you don't mind the cops ventilating the car with shotgun and rifle fire before asking to see license and registration.

Cops need to be able to see what kind of illegal BS is going on in a car. Ever hear of driveby shootings? Anyone who gets pulled over in less than full daylight and doesn't shut off their engine and turn on the dome light and then sit there with their hands on the steering wheel until the cop comes up to their door is asking for trouble.

That's the problem with over-tinted windows.
