President Biden sounded like he’d been watching “Game of Thrones” as he warned Thursday that the unvaccinated “will soon overwhelm” US hospitals and vaccine refusers will experience “a winter of severe illness and death.”

“It’s here now and it’s spreading and it’s going to increase,” Biden said of the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 at the White House, seated near his chief medical adviser - Dr. Death Himself, Anthony (Flip flop) Fauci.

“For [the] unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death - the unvaccinated, for themselves, their families and the hospitals they will soon overwhelm,” Biden said. He urged people to seek out vaccine “booster” shots to prevent school shutdowns and business restrictions.

“Go get boosted if you’d had your first two shots. If you haven’t, go get your first shot. It’s time, it’s time - it’s past time,” Mr. Doom & Gloom said.

I read a short article about the second amendment last night that - for me - put an interesting slant on the issue. The author's premise was that the amendment was put there not to guarantee our individual right to own a gun.

His take is that the amendment was put in place to stop the government from infringing on our right to own a weapon. It has nothing to do with the weapon itself, it simply limits the actions the government can take on you for owning one.

See how that turns the whole thing on it's head and still makes sense?

A Florida man was kicked off a United Airlines flight Wednesday after attempting to fly with a red thong on his face in place of a mask. Adam Jenne told NBC affiliate WBBH that he's pulled the panties stunt on several flights in an effort to make a statement.

“I think the best way to illustrate absurdity is with absurdity,” he said. "Every single flight has been met with different reactions from the flight crew." The United flight crew was not amused. Jenne was removed from the flight.

Former first lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris have emerged as favorites for the Democratic nomination in 2024, if President Joe Biden opts not to run for a second term, a new poll shows.

The Hill-HarrisX poll has the women leading a slew of other likely candidates, including former presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, and former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Among those candidates, Harris had the most support, with 13 per cent of respondents in the 18-19 November survey saying they would support her. She was closely followed by Obama, who had the backing of 10 per cent of respondents.

This comes despite Michelle my belle saying on numerous occasions that she has no plans to run for office. “I wouldn’t ask my children to do this again because when you run for higher office, it’s not just you. It’s your whole family,” she said back in 2017, amid speculation about a potential 2020 run.
