This is something I'll never have to see thankfully.

Imagine you're a 17-year-old soldier from Bayonne, NJ
in a trench somewhere in France and this
is what you're seeing over your head...

Trench warfare in 1917. Competing artillery
and projectiles raining on enemy positions.

  1. My granduncle Walter was a 19 yo private in the U.S. Signal corps stationed in France - on the front lines. He kept a diary and his daughter preserved a lot of the letters he sent home. The stories are all understated, but he saw some up close shit. I was pretty young when he died so I never got to ask him about it.

Two great versions of the same song. Doesn't happen often...

The original is a time capsule by itself... And the version from Darryl's House...
