Throwback Thursday? Who wants to wait for that?

Tonight's throwback hottie is Joey Heatherton. If you don't know who she is, you're too young to be reading this blog...

Her father was Ray Heatherton. As kids,
we knew him as 'The Merry Mailman'.

"The Merry Mailman" made his debut on WOR-TV Ch. 9 in NYC on Monday evening October 16, 1950 as a fifteen-minute cartoon fest (not as the hour long kid's wraparound or variety TV series it would later become).
Originally, Mr. Heatherton's "MM" simply introduced old movie cartoons dressed in his mailman's uniform, working in front of a plain curtain.

    1. Great catch. I was hoping at least one person would catch that. Well played!

  2. Remember when she married Lance Renezel of the Dallas Cowboys. And the story how during training camp Thousand Oaks, the offensive line hid in brushes so they could catch peeks of her in shorts. And the Serta bed commercials late at night with her barely covered by a sheet.

  3. Didn't Lance run into some trouble in Dallas - showing himself off to high school girls or something? Her Brother also worked for a radio station there. Long time ago, better days than now - South East Asia included.
