A half dozen high-ranking Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health (NJ) workers lost their jobs after they refused to comply with a new policy to get the COVID-19 vaccination. The medical provider in May announced its policy requiring those employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no later than June 30. In an email to employees on July 15, the company says that 2,979 staff members, or 99.7 percent of the affected employees were fully vaccinated as of July 14.
"Regrettably, six (6) staff at the supervisor level and above have not complied with the mandate and are no longer employees of RWJBH, per our policy," the email says.
"At RWJBarnabas Health, we have an ethical and professional responsibility to protect our patients and ensure a safe, COVID-19 free environment. We shall be mandating vaccination for all staff and physicians and will be announcing our plans in the coming days," the company says in the email.

If anyone has the balls to bitch - to my face - about how these guys should be spending their money saving the world and feeding the hungry and blah, blah, blah, I will most assuredly probably just punch 'em in their fuckin' face just for the hell of it.
Think about how many hundreds, if not thousands, these guys have created and maintained throughout their little space pissing contest. Think about how it's none of your motherfuckin' business how they - or anyone else - spend their own money. If you're so worried about that other shit, start writing checks yourself ya blowhard fuck.

US Army Private James E. Boyle drives fellow British soldiers on train tracks, France, 6th of August 1944. Lison level crossing, Calvados. The Allied bombing campaign against the occupied territories' railway system had, as intended, caused a chronic shortage of locomotives. After D-Day, as the allied armies advanced further into enemy territory, the need to quickly move supplies to the front became imperative.
It was then that the success of the allied bombing campaign turned against them as there were not enough locomotives available to get the job done.
Fortunately, someone noticed that the US Jeep’s wheel track was very close to the gauge of the railways, and with a few adaptations, British Royal Engineers managed to fit railway wheels to a Jeep and use it to move heavy cargoes by rail. Some Jeeps were converted permanently to operate on rails but in most the rail wheels could be removed and replaced by road wheels as needed.

The rail Jeep served the allied cause to war's end from the fields of France to the jungles of Burma. It was still being used by the French as late as the Algerian war.

Ben & Jerry's said it will stop selling its ice cream in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories, calling it "inconsistent with our values." The company did not say when it would halt sales, but its sole local Israeli manufacturer vowed to continue selling as usual until its license expires at the end of 2022.
The Vermont-based ice cream maker said it would continue sales inside Israel but would not renew its license with the Israeli manufacturer that has produced the company's legendary flavors locally for more than three decades.

Indiana University students must comply with the school’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the fall semester after a federal judge refused on Monday to block the school’s inoculation requirement, one of the first rulings of its kind during the pandemic.
U.S. District Court Judge Damon Leichty in South Bend, Indiana, rejected the argument by eight students that the school violated their bodily autonomy and constitutional right to due process.
“This university policy isn’t forced vaccination,” wrote the judge. “The students have options — taking the vaccine, applying for a religious exemption, applying for a medical exemption, applying for a medical deferral, taking a semester off, or attending another university.”
That is fucking ridiculous and you know it is....

South Korean President Moon Jae-in scrapped plans to attend the Tokyo Summer Olympics and meet Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, his office said Monday – after a senior Japanese diplomat said the leader was “masturbating” if he thought he’d have a summit with Suga.
The two countries had been in talks about holding a top-level encounter during the Games to improve relations that have plunged to their worst level in years over historical disputes.
... Now why would that make me smile? It's not like me to take pleasure in the misery of others. Well, it didn't usta. Maybe. Nahh - fuck 'em. Serves 'em right to suffer.
