There's talk in the air about yet another (a fourth) stimulus check coming soon from your Uncle. He thinks you need it...
Don't like our policies? We don't give a fuck.
We'll just try and buy your approval.
...
More than 80 mostly Democratic members of Congress have signed letters urging President Joe Biden to approve a fourth stimulus check. Seven members of the House Ways and Means Committee - a congressional panel with significant influence over government spending - recently became the latest to join the cause.
...
In their letter to Biden, the Ways and Means members said a fourth stimulus check and a fifth 'would keep an additional 12 million people out of poverty'.
Fakebook has become as inane and useless as hair spray in a convent. They really are just a bunch of whiny, wimpy-assed goofballs running that thing.
Why do people bother?

Ever piece wrapped in a comic for a penny when we were kids. I had a friend growing up who collected them. He probably had over a thousand mostly different ones in his collection. Wonder if he still has it - it's probably worth something to somebody out there in collect-everything-land.

Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said he was told Dr. Fauci had briefed world leaders on the possibility that the novel coronavirus leaked from a lab early on in the pandemic. Gottlieb said a senior Trump official pointed to suspicions the strain 'looked unusual,' prompting Fauci to address the possibility that it had leaked from a lab around spring of last year.

The lawmakers don't recommend a specific dollar amount for the new payments. But other members of the House and the Senate have called for $2,000 checks, and so does a Change.org petition now signed by 2.3 million citizens.
... The Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico was originally a girls’ school. As was common in the 19th century, no stairway to the loft of the sanctuary was built, and the only way to access the loft was via an unstable ladder. The school needed stable access to the loft, but a full stairway would have taken too much space from the seating in the sanctuary below.
To solve this, the nuns who ran the school gave a “novena” (nine-day-long prayer) to St. Joseph, the patron saint of carpenters, to solve their problem. On the ninth day, an unnamed and unidentified carpenter showed up and started building a tight stairway using rudimentary tools, and left without payment. The stairway is an architectural marvel, and for decades no one knew how it still stood, as there is no support in the middle.
The carpenter was never found and never identified.
