A new study from the University of Oxford concluded that drinking alcohol had affected the brain’s gray matter area where “important bits where information is processed”.
The study delved into the relationship between alcohol intake of nearly 25,000 United Kingdom residents, and their brain using brain scans. “The more people drank, the less the volume of their gray matter. Brain volume reduces with age and more severely with dementia”.
I hope they paid a LOT of money to do that study. I coulda told 'em that for nothin' 40 years ago.

Fifty plus years ago, a 22-year-old Chicago schoolteacher traded in a $400 Chevy and borrowed the rest of the money to cover the $3,419 Mustang on an egg-shell blue convertible. “I was the coolest teacher in the school that year,” said Gail. And yes, she still owns the car. The Ford Motor Company has offered to buy it from her numerous times, to no avail.

Geraldine Hoff Doyle, was a 17 years (in 1942) while she was working at the American Broach & Machine Co. when a photographer snapped a pic of her on the job. That image used by J. Howard Miller for the now iconic ‘We Can Do It!’ poster, released during World War II.
Because the “We Can Do It!” poster was created for an internal Westinghouse project, it did not become widely known until the 1980s, when it began to be used by advocates of women’s equality in the workplace. Doyle did not know she may have been the model for “We Can Do It!” until 1984, when she came across an article in Modern Maturity magazine which linked a photo of her to the poster, which she had not seen before. She passed away in 2010.
