What we know as Rights (and wrongs) may be changing very soon.
I read a short article about the second amendment last night that - for me - put an interesting slant on the issue...
The author's premise was that the amendment was put there not to guarantee our individual right to own a gun. His take is that the amendment was put in place to stop the government from infringing on our right to own a weapon. It has nothing to do with the weapon itself, it simply limits the actions the government can take on you for owning one. See how that turns the whole thing on it's head and still makes sense?

This is starting to get completely out of control.
Shakespeare was right - we should start with killing all of the lawyers. This new wave of litigations is really insidious. The 'plaintiff' can say whatever the fuck they want - the can make shit up out of whole cloth - and the guy being sued is almost helpless in disproving the claims. They almost never go to trial - the companies or individuals almost always 'settle out of court'. This is a fuckin' money grab by scumbag lawyers (and clients) for sure. There's a special place in hell for dooshbags like these people.

Congress'person' of color with shaved head Ayanna (who the fuck invented that name) Pressley from Massatwoshits calls $600 stimulus checks an 'insult' to struggling Americans
The flood gates are about to open up. Be prepared for more.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) called the second round of proposed $600 stimulus checks for Americans an "insult" as Congress has deliberated for months over an additional COVID-19 relief bill. The representative for Massachusetts spoke on the House floor Thursday, calling the proposed monetary stimulus checks sent to U.S. residents as part of the upcoming coronavirus relief package "hardly sufficient."
"Four hundred and fifty pennies a day for the last nine months," she said. "That's what our government has sent the American people to weather this crisis. And nothing for the immigrant families who drive our essential workforce. It didn't have to be this way." "Our families deserve real survival checks. Six hundred dollars is hardly sufficient. It is an insult. We must act to save lives now," Pressley added.
Allies along the progressive aisle have contended alongside Pressley's argument, such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who argued the congressional $900 billion budget limit for the next COVID-19 relief package is "much too low." Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) has also been in concordance with Sanders, pushing to provide Americans with a larger stimulus check of at least $1,200.
The liberal storm is on the horizon.

The gospel according to 'The Atlantic' magazine. Despicable.
The man gets credit for absolutely nothing.
'Donald Trump is not a president in the league of Bush, Carter, or even Taft. Few presidents have left office with so little accomplished, impeached and disgraced. Trump took a lot of credit for the economic growth of his first three years, but the economy was already growing strongly when he took office.'

New Jersey will get 20 percent fewer doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines through the end of the year. The Garden State had been promised 492,075 doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines this month, but will only get 392,800, Department of Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli said at a news conference in Trenton.
“The information about anticipated doses and shipments of both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine keeps changing,”New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said the reduction is nothing personal, as every state will be receiving a smaller allocation of vaccines than originally promised. Yeah, okay Phil.

Joe,ya missed Keith Richard’s birthday.77;years old. How could that be even possible? I’d love to see that autopsy when he finally goes. Thanks for the Sopranos nod, I can’t think of a better show or one with some of the best lines ever. One of of my favorites was Uncle Junior exclaiming “ I’ve got the Feds so far up my ass I can taste the Bryl Cream “
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State," establishes the rationale that a state/nation must have armed forces to maintain its security. Of course. "...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." establishes that the people need to be well armed to counter the power of the state just established. While the great Admiral Yamamoto (oh, if only we could have captured him, as well as Rommel...) likely did not say that Japan could never invade America because there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass, the concept is very valid. 3%.
