The countdown starts today. T-minus 6 and counting.

 It's a countdown to 2021.
We can't get rid of this year fast enough...

...

When it comes to getting surprised by what kinda gifts I get from my wife, I never set my sights too high, and for good reason.

I really can't say that I'm terribly disappointed in the gifts that I got this year. I really DO appreciate them all. I do. I had been hoping for a moaner or - even better  -  a screamer,  but I guess we'll just make do with just a sweater...
...

Just to give you all a heads up here,
we now have 226 followers.

To be honest, I couldn't be prouder of that accomplishment, considering the blog itself is not quite two years old.
Of the 226 followers, I can identify 94 of you, so that means we're only 7 away from sending one of you $ 101.00 bucks cash money. I've done it before and you know I'll do it again. I hope we get more new followers, but hey - you guys that are here anonymously can get in on this too!

The actor - he grew up not far from where I was born and raised in Jersey - in keeping with the “tradition” he started in 2018, released another whacko video this year, in spite of the fact that's he's facing a felony charge of sexual assault after he was publicly accused of sexual assault by a series of men.
In 2017, Spacey’s career took a nosedive in the wake of the claims of sexual assault and misconduct, which arrived as the #MeToo movement was surging following the series of women who came forward to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault and harassment.
Spacey, 61, a South Orange, NJ native, titled his latest Christmas Eve video “I-800 XMAS.” In it, he seems to be talking about the hardships people have been facing because of the COVID-19 pandemic, including suicidal thoughts.“It gets better,” Spacey says in the clip.
“What would Christmas Eve be without a message from me?” Spacey says. Then he (somewhat alarmingly) grabs the camera and starts filming selfie-style.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has long cited 60% to 70% as the level of COVID infection/vaccination the country would need to achieve herd immunity - for the disease to fade and life to return to normal. But, but, but: about a month ago, he began saying '70, 75 percent' in television interviews. And last week, in an interview with CNBC News, he said '75, 80, 85 percent' and '75 to 80-plus percent'.

What's new: In an interview, Fauci acknowledged that he had slowly but deliberately been moving the goalposts. He is doing so, he said, partly based on new science, and partly on his 'gut feeling that the country is finally ready to hear what he really thinks'. REALLY?

Fauci's half-assed confession: "When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent ... Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, "I can nudge this up a bit," so I went to 80, 85. We need to have some humility here .... We really don’t know what the real number is. I think the real range is somewhere between 70 to 90 percent. But, I'm not going to say 90 percent."

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
The guy is bat-shit fuckin' crazy.

I talked to my Brother in Belfast (No. Ireland) yesterday, and they are going in to a six-week, full, no bullshit, total lockdown of the entire country starting today. This will be the third one. I guess they're doing it again because the two previous lock-downs worked so well.

Take a look. These are your representatives, people.

Members of the “Squad” on Thursday introduced their own measure to provide $2,000 “survival checks” to struggling American families after President Trump called on Congress to amend a $900 billion COVID-19 relief bill.

The legislation - championed by Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley and Pramila Jayapal - seeks to distribute 'urgent aid' as Congress grapples with Trump’s eleventh hour decision to block the stimulus package which is part of a $1.4 trillion annual spending bill to keep the government open. “This holiday season, families are being forced to make incredibly difficult decisions, such as whether they should keep their lights on or buy groceries,” Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) said in a statement. “They are suffering to no fault of their own. We must protect public health and the economic well-being of those we serve. Providing $2,000 survival checks would give those struggling right now a lifeline as we continue to fight to defeat COVID-19.”

Defund this, muthafuckas.
These people are true heros.

The six police officers who rushed to save Nashville residents before a bomb exploded just before dawn on Christmas Day have been named as (pictured top left to right) Officer Amanda Topping, Officer James Wells, Officer Michael Sipos and (pictured bottom left to right) Officer Richard Luellen, Officer Brenna Hosey and Sgt. Timothy Miller.
Metro Police Chief John Drake heralded the officers as heroes and claimed that their actions saved lives. They had been responding to reports of shots fired 40 minutes before the explosion when they found the RV located outside of an AT&T transmission building which was playing an announcement featuring a woman's voice saying it would explode in 15 minutes.
There was no evidence of shooting at the scene but cops rushed to clear the area before the bomb exploded at 6.40am, injuring three people who have been hospitalized in a stable condition. Police confirmed tissue that may be from human remains has been discovered near the site as Mayor John Cooper put a curfew in place around the area until Sunday. AT&T is also continuing to investigate as they work to repair internet and cell phone outages caused by the blast that had impacted 911 and emergency phone systems and temporarily shut down flights from Nashville International Airport.

Well that sorta takes you guys outta the audience, don't it? Broad-minded my ass...

Okay, I've probably given you entirely too much to think about already, so I'll leave ya with a little ponderable visual:

...

Gotta tear that friggin' house down...

Billionaire Ron Burkle, co-founder of investment firm Yucaipa Companies and a former associate of Jackson, has purchased the Los Olivos, Calif., property for $22 million. Beyond snagging himself roughly 2,700 acres and a nearly 12,000-square-foot mansion — among the many structures on the estate — Burkle also got a deal. The estate first hit the market in 2015 for a whopping $100 million.

From that point forward, the spread languished on the market. In 2017, it returned for sale asking $67 million following a massive $33 million price cut. In 2019, it was listed for $31 million, the Journal added.
