I think, in 2020 especially, we have look deeper inside ourselves to find what is really important to celebrate...

In the 1940s, Franklin D. Roosevelt developed a concept called the Four Freedoms—Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Want, and Freedom from Fear—to persuade Americans to support the war effort.
Not immediately embraced by the American public, the administration turned to the arts to help Americans understand and rally behind these enduring ideals. Artists, writers, actors, designers, and musicians were encouraged to take on the challenge of advancing the Four Freedoms as the U.S. prepared to enter World War II, moving away from its policy of neutrality.
Norman Rockwell, the one great, truly American illustrator, was among those who took on the challenge to communicate visually the notions of freedom in support of the war efforts.
The results were these (above) - Rockwell's popular Four Freedoms illustrations that depicted everyday community and domestic life that helped Americans rally for the defense of public freedom.

We celebrate our freedoms every year on the Fourth but slowly and steadily nowadays they may be being eroded from underneath us. We have to stay vigilant and not allow the people in power - the one's we ourselves put there- strip away our basic rights.

At the heart of many of today's problems is that the majority of people today don't understand the difference between a right and a privilege.
A basic human right is imbued in each and every one of us. A privilege can only be earned by honest and forthright effort.

The question on many minds during our time of quarantine: How far can state government officials go in curtailing constitutional rights like the freedom of association, free exercise of religion, and right to travel among and between the states, in service to public safety by reducing the spread of the coronavirus?

Protesters say the COVID-19 fight and enforced regulations and requirements take away their constitutional rights. Are they right?
Protests in cities and state capitals have exploded around the country, with sign-toting and horn-blowing activists exhorting governors to ease stay-at-home restrictions put in place to combat the coronavirus. Governors are getting pushback from those who say their constitutional rights are being denied, to the point that threats have been made against the lives of Governors and other politicians.
"They - the people - want their life back," President Trump said the other day. "Their life was taken away from them."
Executive orders by governors to close nonessential businesses, prohibit in-person religious services, force people to stay home or limit travel between states have been called unfair or unconstitutional by protesters. Governors insist they are trying to save lives, but experts say ensuring safety must be balanced against the Bill of Rights.

We can all find something to celebrate today, right?
...
As of today, over half the people in this country, across 17 states, are subject to “stay at home” orders.
They vary considerably in terms of breadth and level of enforcement but, as a whole, they represent a breathtaking set of limitations on how Americans live their lives. Various state and local governments will likely order more, and perhaps even stricter, restrictions. But are such orders constitutional?
The Constitution protects the right to associate, assemble, worship and travel. Does that mean there are limits on what sort of restrictions the government can place on people’s freedom of movement?
