The difference between dreams and aspirations

There is a distinct difference between dreams and aspirations...

I could give you the text book definitions of the two, but sometimes it's better to just say what ya wanna say in yer own words, right? There's two kindsa dreams to start off. There's the sleeping/nocturnal kinda crazy shit where we can fly and the dog talks kinda stuff.

Then there's the real world stuff. The beautiful girl who dreams of finding and running away with a rich, handsome guy like me or me dreaming of winning the fuckin' MegaMillions and running away with that same said girl kinda dreams.

All well and good but they're just dreams and ya really can't force those things to happen, can you?

That's because they're only dreams, but if you think you can act on a dream, you change the nature of the dream itself. If you dream of being an actor or a singer or a doctor, and then work towards becoming one, you've changed the dream in to an aspiration.

Ya get the difference? Okay.

Yeah Murph - keep the State shut down.
That makes perfect sense, you fuckin' moron.

Yeah - good luck with that.

I can't believe there's anybody out there anywhere that'd be stupid enough to lend these fuckin' jackasses a plug nickel, but then again, never underestimate the stupidity of others.

More free money (that your grandkids will have to pay back) is probably coming from Sammy.

Would this shit be happening if it wasn't an election year?  Politicians have added incentive to 'do right' by their constituents, meaning 'buy them off'. Passing another round of stimulus would be a major talking point for lawmakers on the campaign trail.

But the timeline to get something done is exacerbated by the expected end to enhanced unemployment benefits on July 31. By "enhanced," I mean the extra $600 a week that unemployed beneficiaries have been bringing home since early April or until they landed a job. Without an extension to these enhanced benefits, it's likely that mortgage, rental, and auto loan defaults could rise significantly. Thus, a phase 4 deal (the CARES Act was phase 3) would seem highly likely before July 31.

Jerry Maguire motherfucker. Show me the money...

Atlanta mayor rolls back city's reopening: 'Georgia reopened in a reckless manner'

Guess who mighta just screwed the pooch
on her VP 'aspirations'...

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D) announced Friday she’s rolling back her city’s reopening, citing concerns over an increase in coronavirus cases in Georgia.

Bottoms said in a statement that she’s bringing Atlanta back to the reopening’s first phase, mandating people to wear masks in public and urging them to frequently wash their hands and stay home except for essential trips. It also recommends businesses continue teleworking and conduct frequent cleanings of public and “high touch” areas. Nonessential city facilities will remain closed.

It's mind-boggling sometimes to think about what we are truly capable of achieving when we put our minds to things. Did yo ever consider the enormity of some of the toys we produce for ourselves?

If you live anywhere within a hundred miles or so of Trenton or Philly, you really should consider going to see the ship, and maybe helping support what they're doing there.

NEW JERSEY (BB-62) was decommissioned for the fourth and final time on February 8, 1991 in Long Beach, California and later towed to Bremerton, Washington where she resided until heading home to New Jersey. She was officially stricken from the Navy list on February 12,1995 but was then ordered reinstated by an order of congress as a mobilization asset under Bill 1024 section 1011.

On January 4, 1999 NEW JERSEY was again stricken from the Navy list and IOWA replaced her as a mobilization asset. On September 12, 1999 NEW JERSEY began her Final Voyage home from Bremerton, where she had rested in mothballs for the last 8 years. On November 11th, she arrived at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.

Since that time, she has been restored, opened and established as an educational museum and a tribute to the brave sailors who served on her during her long and distinguished career. The Battleship New Jersey opened as a Museum and Memorial in October 2001.

356 elephants died suddenly in Botswana
last week and nobody knows why..

The cause is a mystery. Some conservationists say the recent die-off could be natural, others say they don't have a clue.

Shit like this happens every day all over the world and we don't know why it does. In a really expansive discussion for another day, we can talk about how this kinda bizarre shit is the basis for the formulation of religions.

Man - is this gonna be fascinating...
A former friend of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell claimed they 'forced' him to watch the footage as they wanted to convince him of their 'power'. The ex-jewel robber, who used the pseudonym William Steel, also said he saw clips of 'celebrities' and 'world figures' having 'threesomes, even orgies' with minors.
It follows Maxwell, 58, being arrested at a property in New Hampshire last Thursday on charges she helped lure at least three girls - one as young as 14 - to be sexually abused by Epstein, who was accused of victimising dozens of girls and women over many years. The British socialite will appear in New York's southern district court on July 14 at 1pm.
