Facebook is going down the toilet

And it couldn't happen to a nicer guy...

Facebook sees $60 billion in market value erased in just 2 days as advertisers like Starbucks and Pepsi halt social-media spending

Facebook shares dropped roughly 1% on Monday morning as more advertisers joined the boycott of the social network. The continued slide followed an 8.3% loss on Friday amid the first round of pulled advertising. The two-day stock decline resulted in roughly $60 billion in market value being erased from Facebook at those lows.

Starbucks, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Diageo, Unilever, and Verizon have all halted advertising on Facebook — and in some cases, on other social-media platforms too. Several high-profile executives have called for the social-media giant to do more to combat the spread of misinformation and hate speech on its platform.

The pussification of America marches ever onward.

NJ's dooshtool Gubernator Phil 'Knucklehead' Murphy rips social media posts accusing him of dining indoors at Jersey Shore restaurant during storm.

After photos circulated on social media and a local Monmouth County news site claiming to show Gov. Phil Murphy dining indoors at Jersey Shore restaurant in violation of his own coronavirus shutdown orders, the governor offered some sharp criticism Monday of those who were quick to call him a hypocrite without all the facts.

“If someone out there implies that, ‘Hey, even he’s doing this, so that means you could do it.’ If one person gets infected as a result of that or if one person goes to the hospital as a result of that or, God forbid, ... someone’s life is lost as a result of that,” Murphy said. “That’s blood on their hands, man. I don’t know how you can live with yourself.”

I usta go to Martell's all the time in the summer. It's a cool waterfront bar & restaurant. I guess the clientele has gone down hill since those days.

Murphy dined at Martell’s Water Edge in Bayville on Saturday night and posted a short video with his wife Tammy as they sat under an awning during a torrential thunderstorm storm that swept through the area.

Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman, Joe Ross
'opt out' of 2020 baseball season

Washington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and pitcher Joe Ross are opting out of the 2020 season delayed by the coronavirus pandemic "for the personal health and safety of themselves and their loved ones," the team announced Monday.

Zimmerman, 35, was the Nationals' first draft pick when the franchise moved out of Montreal and has played for the team since making his debut on Sept. 1, 2005.

Ross, 27, has five seasons of major league experience and underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in 2017. He appeared in 27 games last season, going 4-4 with a 5.48 ERA, and was in line to compete to be the Nationals' fifth starter.

The Rockies' Ian Desmond is also opting out of playing in 2020, citing 'high risk' because of his unrealistic fear of the virus.

For the record? These two guys woulda swam through alligators naked covered in bacon fat just to get a chance to play one game, because they weren't  a coupla little sissy Mary little pussies.

How about this for perspective: In this picture, the sun is 36 million miles behind Mercury. Mercury's that little black speck in the top right hand corner of the picture.

It's true - I really do love New York City. It's the politicians I can't stand. That's not the reason why I put this up.

Milton Glaser passed away this past week. He was a titan in the graphic arts business for many, many years, and - as I told you once before - I was lucky enough to have worked with him back in the '80's. He's created many, many very important designs and logos and such, but this is his - by far - most famous contribution.

Glaser scrawled the first draft of the logo in the back of a cab, in 1976, red ink on a scrap of envelope; the sketch is now, fittingly, in the possession of the Museum of Modern Art. He made it for a marketing campaign for New York State, in 1977, which was a tricky moment for the city in particular—it didn’t seem very lovable.

In the final design, the typeface is American Typewriter, friendly and approachable, with a cartoonish cast (notice the rounded bent knee of the “N”) that was Glaser’s signature, as if he anticipated the logo’s ascendance as kitsch.

The moon will appear darkened on the evening of July 4 as the moon passes through Earth’s shadow.

The penumbral lunar eclipse, where the face of the moon will appear to turn a darker silver color, will occur starting at 11:07 p.m EDT according to Space.com. The eclipse “maximum” will occur almost 30 minutes after midnight at 12:29 a.m. EDT on Sunday. The time of the eclipse will occur earlier in areas west of the Atlantic. On the west coast, the eclipse will likely only be visible at moonrise, which is 9:45 p.m. PDT.

The entire event will last nearly three hours according to Space.com.

This makes perfect sense to me - why would it
have to go all the up to the Supreme?

A divided Supreme Court on Monday put the brakes on Congress’ attempt to limit the president’s power to remove executive branch officials in a win for President Trump.

The justices ruled, 5-4, that the Constitution requires the president have unfettered discretion to fire the head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. However, the high court rejected arguments that the entire agency should be shut down.

All of the Republican appointees on the high court backed the decision eliminating the restrictions on the firing of leaders of so-called single-member agencies, while all the Democrat-appointed justices said they would have left those limitations in place.

Little Caesars Workers Fired Over Swastika Pizza

Two workers at an Ohio Little Caesars location were fired after making a pizza with the pepperoni arranged in a swastika. Customers Jason and Misty Laska said store management told them it was an inside joke that accidentally got out.

The couple told News 5 Cleveland they had picked up the pizza from the grab-and-go section of the location in Brook Park, a suburb of Cleveland. “I said, ‘What do you guys have left?’ And they said a pepperoni and a cheese and I said ‘Give me the pepperoni,’” Jason Laska said.

It wasn’t until the couple returned home that they saw what was in the box.

  1. Don't you wish the companies leaving Facebook were doing it because of censorship instead of hate speech. Oh well, a win is a win.

  2. RE: Tracking Kung Flu every day. I've been doing that on a spread sheet since 01-MAR-20. WW, USA and my state, EVERY DAY. Why? because I'd rather make my own determination about how fast the virus is spreading and where than rely on biased media reports, who report all news, even about Kung Flu, with a preconceived complicit Demonrat agenda, when they should be telling us the bare unvarnished truth. I guess that makes me weird according to you, HuH?

P.S. where are the news reports about a massive out break of Kung Flu from the Tulsa rally? Here's a hint. There isn't one and there won't be one, just like there won't be one in Jacksonville.

  4. Going? Facebarf's always been a joke. And the advertisers are doing a little CYA The smart ones know Conservatives buy sneakers, too.

More like self-destruction of the Left.

PS The swastika's facing the wrong way. You see that design in a lot of Oriental and American Indian religions. The other way is more European.

It's a generic symbol for the sun.

When I was little, I noticed my aunt and uncle (whose forebears had been missionaries in China) had a lot of Oriental things with swastikas on them and I asked my dad why did they have stuff covered in Nazi signs.

I got a very patient lecture on the haakenkreuz.

  5. The pizza swastika is backwards. This symbol was used by Native American tribes way before ol Adolph swiped it.
