    Gone because of union goons shooting at cars on the open carriers, especially during the bitter fight by management to keep the Florida East Coast Railroad (FEC) afloat using union-busting methods like getting rid of the caboose housing conductors and brakemen and lowering the locomotive cab crew to two.

    Now cars are transported by rail in something that looks like a cattle car, with enclosed sides.
