Bipartisan Paycheck Protection Program Runs Out as Democrats Block Additional Funding

The Small Business Administration made it official yesterday morning: the bipartisan Paycheck Protection Program has exhausted the funds originally legislated, capping at $350 billion.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) pleaded with Democrats to stop blocking additional funding for the program, which only hurts small businesses in need of relief.
In opposition to Republicans' push to legislate more funding, Rathole whore Nonsense Pelosi claimed that there is no data proving that PPP would need more funding, despite the Small Business Administration's warning. Democrats have refused additional funding for unless their list of unrelated demands is met. Republicans proposed a clean bill of an additional $250 billion in funding for the bipartisan program, with no ideological strings attached, but Democrats torpedoed the GOP effort.

Anyway - I was thinking yesterday about the kids that are Seniors in High School this year. They may have gotten off easy on not having to finish the rest of the school year, but their gonna miss out on one of the most important social events of their lives, and I feel sorry for them.

Two House Democrats want to enhance the $2.2 trillion stimulus package known as the CARES Act. Representatives Tim Ryan (D-OH) and Ro Khanna (D-CA) have introduced new congressional legislation — the Emergency Money for the People Act — to provide $2,000 per month to Americans who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under their proposed legislation, the congressmen would continue monthly cash payments to eligible Americans until employment returns to pre-COVID-19 levels.
“A one-time, twelve hundred dollar check isn’t going to cut it,” Rep. Khanna said. “Americans need sustained cash infusions for the duration of this crisis in order to come out on the other side alive, healthy, and ready to get back to work.”

Chaim Scheinbaum of Lakewood, NJ appears to be the slumlord of nursing homes here in New Jersey, none now more infamous than Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation in Andover, NJ where police made the gruesome discovery of 17 bodies piled on top of one another in the facility's morgue.
The police visit on Monday was prompted by an anonymous phone call that they received concerning a body being stored in an outdoor shed. Upon their arrival they discovered that the body had been moved, that's when they were admitted to the morgue.
The 17 were among 68 recent deaths linked to the long-term care facility, including two nurses, officials said. Of those who died, 26 people had tested positive for the virus.
Thirteen of the bodies discovered on Monday at the Andover facility were moved to a refrigerated truck outside a hospital in nearby Newton, Police Chief Danielson said. A funeral home had made arrangements to pick up the other four.
