Officers at the Andover Township Police Department found the bodies at the Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center after pursuing an anonymous tip about the improper storage of corpses during the coronavirus pandemic, the New York Times reported.
The bodies were placed in a morgue built for just four as the nursing home grappled with mounting deaths. “They were just overwhelmed by the number of people who were expiring,” Eric Danielson, the police chief in Andover, told the paper, after finding the bodies on Easter Sunday and the following Monday.
The 17 bodies were among 68 recent deaths linked to the long-term care center, with 26 of those deaths having tested positive for the coronavirus.

Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker Band Announce Fire on the Mountain Tour
I worked as a roadie for MTB for six weeks back in '74. Whew.
Two of my favorite bands from the 70's - both considered to be titans of Southern rock - the Charlie Daniels Band and the Marshall Tucker Band, look ahead to 2020 with their just-announced Fire on the Mountain Tour.
Originally scheduled to be kicking off in Enid, Oklahoma, on April 23rd, the 21-city trek is currently slated to wrap in November. Also joining the tour on select dates will be newcomers the Scooter Brown Band.
“We have played more shows with the MTB through the years than any other band and have worked together for over forty years,” says the Country Music Hall of Fame member Daniels. “We have so much history and so many memories and the music is so compatible that when we get together, the audience, CDB and MTB have a big ole Southern style good time.”
The tour takes its name from both a song and an album of major significance to the respective artists. In 1974, when Daniels and his band recorded an album titled Fire on the Mountain, MTB founding member and guitarist George McCorkle, who died in 2007, had pitched them a track by that name for inclusion. When the Charlie Daniels Band didn’t cut it, the tune wound up on the 1975 album Searchin’ for a Rainbow, and that year became the Marshal Tucker Band’s first-ever Top 40 pop hit.

99-Year-Old British Veteran Raises $9 Million
For Health Service By Walking Laps
How cool is this old dude?
A 99-year-old British World War II veteran has raised more than $9 million in donations for the U.K.'s National Health Service as it battles COVID-19.
Tom Moore, who rose to the rank of army captain while serving in British-ruled India and Burma, set out to walk 100 laps of his back garden in Bedfordshire, around 50 miles northwest of London, before his 100th birthday on April 30.
His original fundraising target was $1,250. His family said the fundraising site JustGiving had to stop the "Captain Tom Moore's 100th Birthday Walk for the NHS" page from crashing, as more than 90,000 people tried to access it at one point. So far, more than 347,000 people have donated to Moore's effort.

Amazon will suspend all distribution operations in its six warehouses in France until at least April 20.
The decision came after a French court ruled on Tuesday that the company must limit deliveries to essential goods while it conducts a thorough assessment of the coronavirus contagion risk at its warehouses.
The court gave the French subsidiary of the U.S. online retail giant 24 hours to restrict shipments to essential goods such as food or medical supplies, or face a fine of $1.1 million for each day of non-compliance. The company decided to temporarily halt operations.
A lawsuit resulted from a complaint filed last month by a French group of labor unions, which raised concerns about workers' health and safety since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in France. Unions accuse Amazon of overcrowding and lacking health standards at its distribution sites.
