Oops - Another one bites it.

And just like that POOF.
Beat it deadbeat. Cya...

(The gospel according to Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post) - Running for president is hard. It is especially hard if you are not disciplined and do not have a complete, consistent message. It was no surprise then that Beto O’Rourke dropped out of the Democratic presidential race, joining former Colorado governor John Hickenlooper, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and Reps. Eric Swalwell (Calif.), Seth Moulton (Mass.) and Tim Ryan (Ohio). (New York Mayor Bill de Blasio also came and went.)

The premise of the O’Rourke campaign — an eloquent and moderate uniter — almost worked in a Senate race. But in a crowded field, he seemed in over his head — better known for jumping on counters and casting out a gun confiscation scheme than in establishing himself as the RFK whom so many Democrats thought he might turn out to be. From the cringe-worthy cover of Vanity Fair to the awkward video announcement to the f-bombs, he simply did not seem “presidential" — that is, someone single-minded, devoted and utterly prepared to lead a country with as many grave problems as ours. He never quite escaped the impression he was a bit of a dilettante. For those of us who opined that a woman as lightly credentialed as he likely would not have run, it is reminder that no one is “born” to do this. A little self-reflection can prevent a public belly-flop.

Truth be told the guy was nothing more than an attention grubbing blowhard who has zero to offer and nothing to lose.

Greta Thunberg is stuck on the wrong continent after the year's most important UN climate-change summit got moved from Chile to Spain

She appears to be in the wrong vehicle in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The new most famous climate change pain in the ass kid who won't go away doesn't fly.

Because of air travel's large carbon footprint, Greta Thunberg relies on trains and boats for transportation instead. But that's put the Swedish 16-year-old in a bit of a bind.

Thunberg traveled from the UK to New York City on the Malizia II, a sailboat that runs on solar power (and wind, of course), in order to speak at the United Nations Climate Action Summit. Her plan was to stay in the Americas until the UN COP25 climate summit in early December.

But on Friday, the event got moved to Madrid because the Chilean capital is the throes of riots and protests. Now Thunberg is looking for a low-emissions way to travel back across the Atlantic Ocean before COP25 commences on December 2.

This Brexit thing can NOT drag on for ever. It's the opposite of the old 'shit or get off the pot' deal, kinda.

National Sandwich Day: Where can YOU score free subs or meal deals this Sunday?

Let us know will ya?

The spotlight for National Sandwich Day 2019 has been focused on chicken sandwiches and the continuing Chicken Sandwich War saga.

This year, the made-up food holiday held annually on Nov. 3 falls on a Sunday, which will be the day Popeyes' sold out chicken sandwich – the one that prompted this summer's battle over which chain has the best chicken sandwich – returns to restaurants. But Sunday also is a day for free food, deals and discounts at restaurants across the country.

Just not at Chick-fil-A restaurants. The Atlanta-based chain, famous for being closed on Sunday, sent an email to some of its loyalty members this week mentioning Sandwich Day.
Chick-fil-A later apologized for the snafu and confirmed it would still be closed on Sunday.

It's hard to be famous when you're that fucking stupid.

Mets make Carlos Beltran
their new manager

I like this movie - he has a great baseball mind.

The Mets are going back to the future for their new manager. Carlos Beltran, who played seven seasons with the team as part of his likely Hall of Fame résumé, was hired Friday as Mickey Callaway’s replacement, the Mets announced.

The 42-year-old Beltran beat out finalists Eduardo Perez and Derek Shelton for the job and will become the first Latino manager in franchise history. He will be introduced at a Citi Field press conference on Monday at 11 a.m. Beltran received a three-year contract with a club option for 2023.

“Congratulations to Carlos, We are thrilled, as we know our passionate fans will be, to have him back in the family,” Mets COO Jeff Wilpon said in a statement. “Thanks to Brodie [Van Wagenen] and the entire baseball operations staff on this expansive, diverse and collaborative managerial search process.”

From the YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP files:

New Jersey man allegedly harassed farmers when they wouldn't let him have sex with their animals

In retaliation, Richard Decker allegedly wrote bad online reviews about their farms and left metal spikes on their driveways to damage vehicles, police said. Also In January, police warned the public of tire-slashing spike, like this one, that were being placed in front of farm roadways. Richard Decker allegedly put the spikes on the roadways after the farm owners refused to allow him to have sex with their animals, police said.

Richard Decker, 31, began sending emails and letters to local farmers and stables in 2018, asking if he could have sex with their cows and horses. When the farmers refused, investigators said he harassed them with emails, letters, and false online reviews of their facilities, and he left metal spikes on their driveways to pop the tires on their vehicles, the New Jersey Herald reported.
