Jeez - and I thought they did all their diddlin' in dorms...

It's an older study, but, as the say, it still holds water. The popular stereotype of college campuses as a hive of same-sex experimentation for young women may be all wrong.
To the surprise of many researchers and sex experts, the National Survey on Family Growth found that women with bachelor’s degrees were actually less likely to have had a same-sex experience than those who did not finish high school. “It’s definitely a ‘huh’ situation, because it goes counter to popular perceptions,” said Kaaren Williamsen, director of Carleton College’s gender and sexuality center.
For years, sex researchers, campus women’s centers and the media have viewed college as a place where young women explore their sexuality, test boundaries, and, often, have their first - in some cases, only -That phenomenon gave rise to the term LUG (lesbian until graduation). In 2003, a New York magazine article, “Bi for Now,” suggested that women’s involvement in their college’s gay scene exposed them to a different culture, like junior year abroad in Gay World.

But according to that study, conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, based on 13,500 responses, almost 10 percent of women ages 22 to 44 with a bachelor’s degree said they had had a same-sex experience, compared with 15 percent of those with no high school diploma. Women with a high school diploma or some college, but no degree, fell in between. lesbian relationship.

Why do they all look like this?

Leftists were occupying the lobby of Trump Tower in NYC yesterday, chanting anti-ICE propaganda.
Protesters with the nationwide “ICE Out of Everywhere” movement forced their way into the building, holding signs, reading names, and staging a vigil against ICE and federal immigration policy. The protest was organized by activist group 50501.
Two things need to happen. We need to find out if that's actually a really ugly fat chic, or some guy pretending to be a really ugly fat chic.
After that's done, the Fed needs to find out who's behind this 50501 motherfuckers and burn 'em to the ground, whatever it takes.

At what point did anyone think that 'occupying' that semi-public space would do any good to or for anyone, and to what end, aside from being a major pain in everyone else's ass? Thankfully, shit like that doesn't happen near me. I would definitely end up in the slam. Juss' sayin'...

That's what friends are for. Well, in Australia, anyway...

A video has emerged of the moment a man was struck with a flying chair thrown by a (maybe former) friend outside a Melbourne strip club on Friday. The original footage shared by 7News on Saturday shows the wild moment unfold on CCTV outside Bar 20 on King Street in the CBD.
Video taken from across the street and posted to X gave a bit more perspective on the incident. According to 7News Melbourne reporter Paul Dowsley, the two men had attended the club shortly before 9 a.m. before they were thrown out. It's a funny story - take a look...

He mighta blew his top, but he won the fight...

Jarrell Miller won his boxing bout Saturday night - but lost his toupee in the process. Miller, who picked up a split-decision win over Kingsley Ibeh in the undercard fight at the Garden on Saturday, absorbed a right-handed punch in the second round that knocked the fake hair right off his head, prompting it to flop in the air for a brief moment in the immediate aftermath. Eventually, before the start of the next round, Miller ripped the toupee off entirely, tossed it into the crowd and finished the rest of the bout with the bald spot showing.

Here's yet another 'Wow - I had no idea' item...

According to recent research, the men pictured in the photograph are: Harlon Block, Harold Keller, Ira Hayes, Harold Schultz, Franklin Sousley and Michael Strank. Rosenthal quickly photographed the Marines using his Speed Graphic camera, without the aid of a viewfinder. At the time, he did not realize the significance of the photograph.
Tragically, Block, Sousley and Strank were later killed in action during the battle. However, the three surviving servicemen returned home to a hero's welcome and immediately toured across the U.S. in support of the Seventh War Loan (bonds issued by the government to finance war operations). According to Robert S. Burrell in his book "The Ghosts of Iwo Jima" (Texas A&M University Press, 2006), the Seventh War Loan, with support from the touring Iwo Jima survivors, raised a record-breaking $26 billion for the war effort.
Burrell also explains that after the battle, "the [Marine] Corps mistakenly identified one of the dead Marines in the photo… Harlon Block had been misidentified as Hank Hanson." This was not the only mistaken identity, however. In October 2019, evidence brought forward by historians identified Harold Keller as the figure at the far side of the flagpole, previously believed to have been Rene Gagnon.
By the end of World War II, Rosenthal's photograph had become famous worldwide. The photograph, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1945, served as inspiration for the United States Marine Corps War Memorial, in Arlington Ridge Park, Virginia. The memorial was unveiled on Nov. 10, 1954, in the presence of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed that the U.S. flag should fly over the memorial 24 hours a day.

Seems no matter where you are - there you are. And it's friggin' cold...

They're saying that this bullshit Arctic air will stick around until early next week in the central and eastern U.S., with temperatures holding 15 to 30 degrees below normal. The cold air will penetrate into the Deep South and even into southern Florida through the end of the weekend and beyond.
A large area of Arctic high pressure is currently locked in over the Eastern U.S. with a Southeast U.S. snowstorm bringing a reinforcing shot of cold air this weekend. Lows in the single digits and negatives will return in the Lower Midwest, Northeast, Appalachian Mountains, and the interior of the Mid-Atlantic this morning.
Lows around me will be frigid with teens and 20s being common in the Lower Plains, Mid-South, Tennessee Valley, Carolinas, and southeastern Mid-Atlantic. Twenties and 30s will be felt in the Deep South and along the Gulf Coast going deep into Florida.
The bitter cold has already shuttered the theme parks in Orlando, where both Disney World and Universal Studios announced temporary closures due to the freezing temperatures. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed until Monday.
The freezing conditions are so unique that they could even affect some of Florida's wildlife, including freezing fruit trees.

'Green iguanas are sensitive to the cold and can become stunned when temperatures fall into the 40s and 30s,' meteorologist Brandon Buckingham told AccuWeather. 'When that happens, they may lose their grip and fall from the trees.'

A crack-smoking, sexual-predator migrant wanted by ICE was allowed to flee through a back door of a Manhattan courthouse - infuriating federal agents yesterday.
Gerardo Miguel Mora, 45, was arrested Thursday for shoplifting and possession of stolen property after allegedly snatching $130 in items from an H&M display case in Midtown that day.
Federal authorities had been looking for Mora on a criminal arrest warrant under a section of the US code that concerns “reentry of removed aliens.” Judge Sheridan Jack-Browne had a copy of the federal criminal arrest warrant for Mora but released him, according to police. ICE agents realized Mora had been released, and chased him down outside. Mora’s now in federal custody. The Department of Justice could prosecute Mora, deport him or both.
Because it’s a sanctuary city, New York doesn’t work with the feds when it comes to immigration enforcement. But allegations of actively obstructing the feds are unusual. The feds have recently delivered warrants for three other criminal migrants that haven’t been honored, law enforcement sources said. “Unfortunately, that’s what we do now,” said a longtime NYPD officer dismayed by the city’s policy of icing out ICE. "We don’t acknowledge any federal anything."
Isn't it curious that every time you read a story like this, the Judge involved look like her?  Juss' sayin'...

Assaranca...

This is a moment captured at the Assaranca Waterfall in County Donegal, Ireland. The waterfall is also known by its Irish name, Eas a' Ranca. It is a multi-tiered cascade located near the village of Ardara, close to Maghera Beach. It is a popular and easily accessible natural attraction, situated along a narrow road beside Loughros Beg Bay. The area is known for its idyllic surroundings and lush green hills.
